The Mask | Anonymous Sex in Second Life

Yes, there is a way you can meet people at a secret place in Second Life totally anonymous. There you can not see anybody’s user name, display name or profile.

You can not even identify the location nor can you open the map. It is a totally secret place. The island that can not be found, except for those who knew where it is.

To access the place you need to buy a certain mask (soon available at a vendor in the SLA Media office).

The mask is an invention of my friend Toni. He invited me the other day to come and see the secret place:

“Carol, you need to see this. Mel created a fantastic skybox for secret dates.”

I was curious of course if that actually works. He passed me the mask. I took in on.
Immediately a message poped up asking me if I want to be teleported to the secret place.

I agreed.

I landed at a really classy place. It resembled some kind of club. Could be a small swinger club of sorts or a brothel. Nice bar area, tables and chairs around and a half open bedroom with a very big bath ensuite.

By chance I was dressed in accordance with the theme (had a client before). Lingerie and high heels, just about perfect for such a place.

And he was right.

In my viewer everything was disabled which could give me hints about who that person in front of me is or what place I just entered.

• No user name
• No display name
• Not able to read profile
• Not able to see the map or mini map
• Not able to see item owners
• No names in Chat or IM

“What happens when I take off that mask, I will then be able to identify the other person easily.” I inquired.

“Nope, you get ejected in the same second.You can only stay here wearing a mask.”

That would be a handy feature to have in Berlin’s public transport vehicles. Nice, all those mask refusers automatically kicked out of the train.

Anyway, back to the topic.

My imagination grows wings sometimes. My long time readers know that very well.

I spontaneously had an Idea.

“What if I set that up at the SLA Media penthouse for special events.”

“Sure I can set that up for you easily. Then you simply place a vendor in the office where people can buy your version of the mask and I even pay you guys a commission.”

“Done. Set that up to split my part with Uwe, he is still part of SLA Media.”

I have a new toy to play with.

Then I said:
