As a new girl on the grid, there is only one efficient way to make money in Second Life:
Sex.
Of course, there are many other ways to earn money in Second Life. You can find a comprehensive list of all your options on Jess’s blog post about how to make money in Second Life 2026.
However, all of the options require either a substantial amount of time, a long learning curve, an investment, or all of that.
Sex work only requires being pretty and some soft skills, such as emoting and knowing how to create nice sex sequences. It’s not rocket science to make a guy cum.
But initially, you will face a few challenges when getting started
You don’t have the tools that demanding customers expect you to have.
You are not allowed in many adult regions yet; your account must be at least 30 days old.
This is how I did it.
Starting as a Cheap Whore
Sex options are abundant in Second Life. Hence, a man who is prepared to pay for sex has higher expectations. If you want to charge premium rates, you must offer premium service.
Here is a list of tools you must have to be a high-priced Second Life escort girl:
- Realistic-looking vagina
- Cum Hud, ideally the “It’s not mine” hud
- Decent Mesh Body
- Several Spankers
- Mama Allpa Hud
- Hot lingerie
- Good Moaning hud
I am not going into details about what they do, just know that these require an investment of a few thousand L$. I didn’t have that, and part of the challenge is not to buy L$ at all.
I decided my initial price is 300 L$ for half an hour of sex with me. Once I can buy all the bells and whistles, I will increase the price.
The low price is my USP (Unique Selling Point). It sets me apart from many competing girls, as the typical rate for sex services in Second Life is, on average, 1000 L$ for half an hour.
I need to communicate that to potential customers. For that purpose, I joined a group called “Fifty Linden Whores of Second Life”. Not because I want to get that cheap, but I get two tags being a member of that group

Choosing A Second Life Adult Region to Make Money
I have chosen two regions, as I have a two-fold strategy to attract potential customers.
RL&V – The Ghetto Roleplay & Freelance Prostitutes
The name says it all. It is one of the very few red light districts that allow new users to enter. It features a porn cinema, shops, bars, a motel, and other venues you would typically find in such environments (including drug dealers).
Here I wear the “Cheap Whore” tag, and it works really well. It is not a very busy region, except on the days when Bar No. 5 down the road is having a party.
But enough guys are coming there looking for some sexy fun, and I have a lot less competition than in regions like Hooker Hotel.
I typically stand right in front of a hotel called “Continental”. The advantage is that I can take a customer to a room there and then. Makes it a lot easier. In addition, the hotel has very well-equipped rooms with furniture from Darkfold and Good Moaning – a huge advantage.
I am getting fucked there a lot. Sometimes 3 or 4 Guys in one shift. My best regular client is the local chief of security.

The Sneaky Link Motel
This is part two of my strategy. I pretend to work at the motel and wear the tag “Room Services – 300 L$”. All I do is sit in reception, waiting for somebody to come along.
Then I ask him if he wants to have a room. With special service. Works well and adds a bit of roleplay to the approach.
Making Money and Upgrading Continuously
It is now day 18 of my life on the grid, working as a cheap whore. Every time I made a few bucks, I reinvested the money in my looks and enhanced the avatar with all the huds I mentioned above.
By now, I have them all. In addition, I was able to buy some really nice outfits at Addams

I am now a top-notch escort girl, having started from scratch. Hence, the reason I increased my rate a bit: It’s now 1000 L$ per hour or 500 L$ for half an hour (special discounts for young, good-looking students).
